The Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation, together with Lions clubs, provide free basic sight screenings to thousands of elementary aged children in Idaho and Eastern Oregon. Screening is kept free of charge through donations of time and money from local Lions Clubs, as well as other community-minded organizations. The Mobile Screening Unit is also available to screen the general public. The state-of-the-art unit is housed in a thirty-eight foot trailer and provides health screenings for hearing, vision, Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Diabetes, and blood pressure. The screenings are provided by trained volunteers and volunteer professionals.
